Actor Song Seung-hun and Chinese actress Liu Yifei recently ended their three-year relationship.
Song's agency on Thursday said the two broke up due to their busy schedules and the difficulties of a long-distance relationship but will remain good friends.
Song became hugely popular in China with hit TV series like "Autumn in My Heart" and "Saimdang, Memoir of Colors," and Liu is China's latest sweetheart, well-known here for "A Chinese Ghost Story" and "The Return of the Condor Heroes."
Their break-up made huge waves on Chinese social networking site Weibo.
The two became close while working on the film "The Third Way of Love" together in 2014 and admitted to their relationship in August 2015.
