Painted around 1628 in Rome by the founder of French classicism and immortal master Nicolas Poussin (1594–1665), *Lamentation of Christ* (also titled *Pietà*, German: *Beweinung Christi*, French: *Déploration sur le Christ mort*) is a monumental devotional oil on canvas measuring 101.0 cm × 145.0 cm (39.8 in × 57.1 in).

It is preserved in the distinguished permanent collection of the Alte Pinakothek in Munich, Germany.
