Painted between the late 17th and 18th century by a skilled follower of the Flemish Baroque master David Teniers the Younger (1610–1690), *The Smoker* (Italian: *Fumatore*, French: *Le Fumeur*, Inventory No. 2217) is an intimate genre masterpiece in oil on panel measuring 38.0 cm × 25.0 cm (15.0 in × 9.8 in).

It is preserved in the distinguished permanent collection of the Museo Civico di Padova (Musei Civici agli Eremitani) in Padua, Italy.
