Painted in 1865 by the preeminent nineteenth-century French Orientalist realist master Gustave Guillaumet (1840–1887), *The Arab Market* (also titled *Evening Market in the Plain of Mitidja*, French: *Marché arabe dans la plaine de Metidja*) is a monumental horizontal oil on canvas measuring 90.0 cm × 195.0 cm (35.4 in × 76.8 in), preserved in the distinguished permanent collection of La Piscine - Musée d'Art et d'Industrie André Diligent in Roubaix, France.
